Trails by Shutterpanda: A Workshop on Creativity & Photography

I just came back from what was one of the most memorable weekends I’ve ever had. You can’t tell how happy I am to be surrounded by like-minded people who also pushes you to exceed beyond your limits as an artist! But before that, a little backstory on how I came to learn this workshop:

I’m an amateur photographer and I want to gain a new perspective or at least improve what I’m currently doing. And so, while I was scrolling through my feed, I saw an event post by Shutterpanda about a workshop on creatives and photography shared by my friend. My friend and I both became interested and ended up registering immediately. It was indeed timely for me because currently, I’m in my season when most of my expenses go to personal investments such as online courses, workshops or anything related to self-development. I strongly suggest you do the same while you’re still single! 🙂

The Trails Workshop is now in its second year where participants will be exploring the coastal towns and wide seascapes of the Aurora province. The aim of this workshop is to challenge everyone to gain a new perspective, seeking moments of light, and just adding more creativity into one’s works beyond the technical aspect of photography. Topics will cover from creativity, portrait, travel, and night sky photography, as well as, experimental photo manipulation – definitely something for me!

Fast forward to the much-awaited weekend, Shutterpanda had sent one of the cutest primers I’ve ever seen (shout out to the illustrators – you know who you are!). Everything on the itinerary was jam-packed from sunrise photoshoots to the talks workshops to astrophotography sessions.  You can really tell that you’re getting your money’s worth from the activities we were going to do. And one of the most appreciative moments I’ve had of the whole workshop was the individual portfolio review where each will be assigned a facilitator and critique/comment on your previous and current works. Finally, kudos to the whole team for following every single activity. I was an organizer of events myself, and trust me, following the schedule was never easy!
